Recently consumers have become increasingly conscious and more concerned about their health. Therefore, they started to pay attention their diet and to sustain healty life and to consume “healty foods”. Although many foods are mentioned as a healty food in the literature, actually healty food concept contains not only one of these concepts but also a few. The purpose of this research is to determine the perceptions of consumers in terms of the concept of healthy food, their product choice as a healthy food, the reasons for their choice, the issues they pay attention when consuming healthy food since their behaviour is a very important issue for manufacturers and businesses who want to produce healthy products. The population of the research consists of 24 consumers who consume healthy foods. Data were collected from the participants by in-depth interview method and the data were analyzed using content analysis and descriptive analysis methods. According to research results, The participants consider natural and non-medicinal foods as healthy food, they pay attention that healthy food is organic as well as the producer and production process. Therefore, natural foods with analysis results are often preferred by consumers. Vegetable-fruit, eggs and legumes are consumed mostly as a healthy food, these products are generally taken from the internet and the contents and history of the foods are mostly examined. Lastly, participants think that there are problems in the packaging of healthy foods.
