Postmodern approaches which recejt fordist and bureaucratic principles in both business organizations and public sector and claim the exceed those claims manifest itself depending on the rise of information age management concept. Postmodern approaches involve customizations in public sector, contracting state mentality which brings active clients instead of passive consumer, ensuring competition in public institutions and its subsidiaries, the expansion of individual and private sector spheres by depending on shrinking public space and involve market-democrcy which is based on compromise and more effective public participation. Thus, it is thought that public administration would show more flexible, transparent, efficient fand effective function by remaining loyal to principle of subsidiarity concept.
In this study, the applicability of postmodern principles on Turkish public administration will be discussed. The study will be carried out by domestic and foreign literature.
