In this study, it was aimed to reveal Van wedding traditions from the past to the present with the data obtained as a result of participant statements within the scope of Oral History application carried out together with students. There search was carried out in the case study pattern within the scope of the qualitative study. In the study, an easily accessible case sample was used as part of a purposeful sample, and students were asked to interview volunteer participants about Van wedding traditions. Students interviewed 60 people from family members aged 50 and overand prepared a report on this issue. Document, semi-structured interview and focus group interview form were used as data collection tools in the study. Data obtained on Van wedding traditions were subjected to content analys is by the researcher. In this study, it was determined that students can Express the traditions of asking for girls, engagement, clothing-kusham culture, eating and drinking customs, games played at weddings, dowries, wedding preparation and gifting from the past through the data obtained as a result of Oral History application. Inaddition, it has been found that students can reveal developments related to the local characteristics of weddings, along with different customs related to weddings, village and city weddings, as well as those performed before, at and after the wedding.
