Researches and interest on public administration reform aroused as from 1960s, discourses about the reform started to be put into practices as from 1980s and comprehensive transformation was witnessed in the public administration in Turkey during 2000s. Interpretation of the new public administration which was shaped by the influences of the era as well as domestic and foreign actors today reserves the dynamics for the transformation. Remarks of the political parties, the most significant policy makers of the nation states, on the public administration indicate “what kind of public administration” they expect in near future. In this regard, this study aims to analyze policies of the political parties in Turkey on the public administration reform through the election manifestos presented to the public opinion before General Elections of the 25th and 26th Parliament in 2015. Election manifestos will be studied through the sub-titles on public administration in general and local government in particular. Hints for the public administration reform in near future will be sought based on the results obtained through the study and by using the similar and different approaches of the political parties.
