Work stress in the working environment is a common problem faced by employees, and if not resolved, it can cause serious problems such as leaving the job. However, as a result of serving a great purpose or passionately engaging in work, employees experience less stress and decrease in the idea of intention to leave. A study was conducted in airports in Antalya, Kayseri and Isparta provinces to test this argument and to investigate the relationship of related concepts. For the research, data were collected from 141 Airport ground service staff using the survey technique. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22 package program. When the findings were examined, it was found that the meaningful work reduces both work stress and intention to leave. Work stress was found to increase intention to leave. As a remarkable finding, it was found that the meaningful work on the intention to leave was mediated by work stress. From this point of view, meaningful work can be reached as a result of decreasing the intention to leave because of it actually reduces job stress. Therefore, it can be said that employees find the meaningfulness of work has important consequences for organizations.
