In the age we live, most Muslims travel and trip for many different reasons such as work, education, health, pleasure, culture, and religious ceremony. They want to make their travels based on the teachings of Islam. Along with the increasing number of Muslims worldwide and the increasing purchasing power of the Muslims, their place in the tourism and travel industry has started to change. These changes have attracted the attention of countries that attach importance to tourism. It is seen that Islam is a religion that supports and encourages all Muslims to travel. In addition, given that there are more than 1.6 billion people worldwide subject to the religion of Islam, are interested in developing the concept of Halal tourism, suitable for Islam, which is extremely important. In recent years, it has been noticed that the importance of halal tourism has increased all over the world including Turkey. This study aims to examine the importance of halal tourism all over the World including Turkey according to the teachings of the Holy Quran and hadiths. With this study, it is tried to explain the importance of the concept of halal tourism, whose growth rate has increased with the developments in the Islamic financial system in recent years.

Yaşadığımız çağda Müslümanların çoğu iş, öğrenim, sağlık, dinlenme, kültür ve dinî tören amaçlı seyahatlere, gezilere katılmaktadır. Müslümanlar seyahatlerini İslam dinin öğretilerine dayanarak gerçekleştirmek istemektedirler. Dünya genelinde Müslüman halkın sayısı artması ve Müslüman halkının artan satın alma güçleri ile beraber, turizm ve seyahat sektöründeki yerleri de değişiklik göstermeyi başlamıştır. Bu değişlikler turizme önem veren ülkelerinin dikkatini çekmiştir. İslam dininin Müslümanları seyahat etmeye ve geziye çıkmayı destekleyen, teşvik eden bir din olduğu görülmektedir. Buna ek olarak, dünya çapında İslam dinine tabi olan 1.6 milyardan fazla insan olduğu göz önüne alındığında, İslam'a uygun olan Helal turizm kavramını geliştirmeye duyulan ilgi son derece önemlidir. Son yıllarda helal turizm kavramının tüm dünyada ve Türkiye’de ehemmiyetinin arıtmış olduğu görülmektedir. Bu araştırma, Helal turizm kavramını, Kuran-ı Kerim ve Hadisler ışığında ele almayı, Helal turizmin dünyada ve Türkiye’de ehemmiyetini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Yapılan bu çalışma ile son yıllarda İslami finansal sistemde meydana gelen gelişmeler ile büyüme hızı artan helal turizm kavramının önemi açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır.
