The story, which is one of the literary genres, has certain features like other genres. To overcome this certainty can be considered as one of the first conditions for the originalization of the works. The story, shaped by the author's perspective and approach, gains an ordinary or original quality by the author. In order to stand out from many original works in Turkish storytelling and to create a new story world, the authors should search for a new one. One of the authors who writes in an innovative quest is Faruk Duman. One of the prominent names in Turkish storytelling after 1990, the author wants to experience the new in his stories. Duman elevates his innovative pursuits to the next level in his story called “Sencer and Yusufçuk”. This article aims to find out where the author's innovative searches are concentrated in his story “Sencer and Yusufçuk”. These findings were supported by adhering to the text and quoting the text. In the language use, the writer's mostly formal search and narrative style; in the format of the text; it is possible to see in the intertwined reality-dream-dream equation. The construction of language, style and formal experiments in the story takes place with the level of consciousness of the child, both the hero and narrator of the story. The story, which can be considered as an experimental outlet in the context of form, is also an expression of Faruk Duman's originality in the field of literature.
