The upper fabrics takes priority among the all materials used in the production of evening dresses; materials such as lining, sewing thread, zipper, button, interlining are listed after upper fabric. For the clothes whose have only the high quality upper fabric but have a not good lining, and the stitches burst due to the poor quality of the thread, and difficult to open and close its zipper; having a high quality upper fabric does not mean that the clothes will also be of high quality. For this reason, when it comes to quality clothes, should be understood that all the materials selected and put together are suitable for the purpose of its production. This study (chosen as an experimental method because it served the purpose best) was carried out to investigate the factors that cause quality defects encountered during the lining phase of producing evening dresses in ready-made clothing plants and to plan the quality improvement studies according to the error types. The target population of research study is formed medium-sized and small-sized enterprises operating in the production of evening dresses in ready-to-wear sector. The research data was taken from 20 different models produced in sample band of VAKKO that selected by us and is a company that produces evening dresses within the provincial borders of Istanbul. Within this context; as a result of the researches conducted, it has been observed that there are many factors affecting quality (such as; stretch and elongation rates caused by incorrect lining selection, defects caused by incorrectly selected auxiliary material, ironing defects, defects caused by incorrectly placement of fabrics, linings and interlinings, warp yarn defects, lining and fabric mismatch), whereas it has been observed factors originating from labor do not affect quality errors. During the review; 20 different models were examined that linings and fabrics used in the production and different production methods according to the lining and fabric type was taken as basis.

Abiye giysi üretiminde kullanılan malzemelerden, önceliği üst kumaş alır. Astar, dikiş ipliği, fermuar, düğme, tela gibi malzemeler ise daha sonra sıralanır. Astarı iyi olmayan, ipliğin kalitesizliği nedeniyle dikişleri patlayan, fermuarı açılıp-kapanmayan bir giyside üst kumaşın kaliteli olması, giysinin kaliteli olacağı sonucunu ortaya koyamaz. Bu nedenle, kaliteli giysi dendiğinde, kullanılan malzemelerin tamamının amaca uygun olarak seçildiği ve bir araya getirildiği giysi anlaşılmalıdır. Araştırmada abiye kıyafetlerin astarlama sürecindeki kalite hatalarına neden olan faktörlerin belirlenmesi ve bu hata türlerine göre elde edilen sonuçların deneysel yöntemlerle çözümlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni hazır giyim sektöründe abiye giysi üretimi yapan orta ve büyük ölçekli işletmelerden oluşmuştur. İstanbul il sınırları içerisinde abiye üretimi yapan ve tarafımızca seçilen VAKKO numune bandında hazırlanan 20 farklı modelden alınan veriler örneklemi oluşturmaktadır. Bu bağlamda; yapılan incelemelerde ilgili firmada hatalı astar seçiminden kaynaklanan çekme ve sarkma oranları, yanlış seçilen yardımcı malzeme hataları, ütü kaynaklı hatalar, kumaş, astar ve telanın farklı açılarda yerleşimi sonucu oluşan hatalar, düz boy ipliği hatası, astar kumaş uyumsuzluğu gibi kaliteyi etkileyen birçok faktörün olduğu, buna karşın iş gücünden kaynaklı etkenlerin kalite hatalarını belirgin şekilde arttırmadığı gözlenmiştir. İnceleme sırasında 20 farklı model, üretimde kullanılan faklı astar ve kumaş çeşidi ile astar ve kumaş çeşidine göre farklı üretim yöntemleri incelenmiştir.
