Individuals with special education needs can benefit from different education programs. One of these programs is the Science Curriculum. In order to achieve the objectives and achievements in the science course, it is necessary to know what the arrangements made by the teachers in the curriculum can be, and to diversify the alternatives that can be used in the materials prepared for the students in order to teach the students who need special education. Therefore, in this study, it is aimed to evaluate the views of science teachers about individuals who need special education. This research is qualitative research designed in a phenomenological pattern. The study group of the research consists of science teachers working in Antalya province Alanya in the 2020-2021 academic year. Data were collected with a semi-structured interview form. Research findings revealed that science teachers made some adaptations for students who need special education. It is recommended to develop sample measurement-evaluation scales to monitor the academic success and development of students in need of special education.

Özel eğitime gereksinimi olan bireyler farklı öğretim programlarından yararlanabilmektedirler. Bu programlardan birisi de Fen Bilimleri Dersi Öğretim Programıdır. Fen bilimleri dersinde hedef ve kazanımlara ulaşılabilmesi için ders programında öğretmenlerin yapmış olduğu düzenlemelerin neler olabileceğinin bilinmesi ve fen bilimleri öğretmelerinin özel eğitime gereksinimi olan öğrencilere ders anlatmak için öğrenciye yönelik hazırlanan materyallerde kullanılabilecek alternatiflerin çeşitlendirilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu nedenle bu araştırmada fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin özel eğitime gereksinimi olan bireylere ilişkin görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırma olgubilim deseninde tasarlanmış nitel bir araştırmadır. Çalışma grubu 2020-2021 Eğitim Öğretim yılında Antalya ili Alanya ilçesinde görev yapan 20 fen bilimleri öğretmeninden oluşmaktadır. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma bulguları fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin özel eğitime gereksinimi olan öğrencilere ilişkin bazı uyarlamalar yaptıklarını ortaya koymuştur. Özel eğitime gereksinimi olan öğrencilerin akademik başarısı ve gelişimlerini izleme amaçlı örnek ölçme-değerlendirme ölçekleri geliştirilmesi önerilmektedir.
