From past to present, people have had to deal with a large number of epidemics. It is known that these epidemic diseases have serious devastating effects in every period. Today, a new virus that emerged in the last month of 2019 has affected the whole world. This virus started to spread among the continents in a short time, the World Health Organization named the disease caused by this virus as Covid-19 and then declared a pandemic. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the general ideas of prospective science teachers about Covid-19 during the Covid-19 pandemic process in our country and all over the world. In addition, according to them, what measures or measures the Covid-19 epidemic could be stopped, how long they think the Covid-19 epidemic will continue in our country, what changes they will make to the education systems of the epidemic. Within the scope of the study, semi-structured interviews were made with 53 prospective teachers. According to the results obtained, pre-service teachers should use general definitions such as a virus that can spread rapidly and easily for a virus that causes the epidemic, a virus that affects the whole world, necessary precautions should be taken and seriously obeyed, social distance should be maintained, it should not go out unless it is necessary. They stated that the measures may end at the end of the summer with the precautions, but there will be a decrease in social relationships and behaviors requiring contact after this epidemic, significant progress will be made in online education despite all the negativity, but despite all, it cannot meet face to face education.

Geçmişten günümüze, insanlar çok fazla sayıda salgın hastalık ile mücadele etmek durumunda kalmıştır. Bu salgın hastalıkların her dönemde ciddi boyutta yıkıcı etkilerinin olduğu bilinmektedir. Günümüzde ise 2019 yılının son ayında ortaya çıkan yeni bir virüs, tüm dünyayı etkisi altına almıştır. Bu virüs, kısa sürede kıtalar arasında yayılmaya başlamıştır. Dünya Sağlık Örgütü bu virüsün neden olduğu hastalığı Covid-19 olarak isimlendirmiş ve ardından da pandemi ilanında bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmada, ülkemizde ve tüm dünyada görülen Covid-19 pandemi sürecinde, sosyal bilgiler ve fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının Covid-19 hakkında genel düşüncelerini ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca adaylara, onlara göre Covid-19 salgınının hangi tedbir ya da tedbirler ile durdurulabilir olduğu, Covid-19 salgının ülkemizde ne kadar süre devam edeceğini düşündüklerini, salgın sırasında kullanılan çevrimiçi eğitim hakkındaki düşüncelerini belirlemek için sorular sorulmuştur. Çalışma kapsamında 53 öğretmen adayı ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme yapılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre öğretmen adayları salgına neden olan virüs için hızlı ve kolay yayılabilen bir virüs, tüm dünyayı etkisi altına alan bir virüs gibi genel tanımlamaları ağırlıklı olarak kullanmışlardır. Ayrıca virus karşısında toplumca gerekli tedbirler alınmalı ve ciddiyetle uyulmalı, sosyal mesafe korunmalı, zorunlu olmadıkça dışarı çıkılmamalı gibi ifadeler sıklıkla kullanılmıştır. Salgının tedbirler ile en erken yaz sonu bitebileceği, ancak bu salgının ardından sosyal ilişkilerde ve temas gerektiren davranışlarda azalma olacağı kanaati vardır. Tüm olumsuzluklara rağmen çevrim içi eğitimde önemli ilerleme kaydedildiği, ancak her şeye rağmen yüz yüze eğitimi karşılayamadığı gibi düşüncelerinden de bahsetmişlerdir.
