Anni Albers (1899-1976) is a well-known textile designer and master of weaving, born in Berlin. A successful student of the Bauhaus, founded to develop aesthetically and functionally product design, eliminating the distinction between art and craft. The design and art views shaped by the Bauhaus philosophy have made her a recognized master in the field. In 1933, she settled in America as a result of their offer to give lectures in the Black Moutain College in America. During the years of mastery, she presented hers achievements during the years of Bauhaus, based on concepts such as design, weaving, art and function, to his students and the developing textile industry. She became interested in prehistoric South American art and textiles as well as her travels in Mexico. In her works, she used the weaving structures, yarn effects and colors masterful with the expression of abstract art. She made pictoral weavings and fabric designs which emphasize textural effects. She wrote many articles on weaving techniques and aesthetics, and two important books
