With the reference to religious and cultural concerns, most of the Arabic language rules established by the authorities and those who concerned since the middle of the first century of Hijri calendar were conceptualized by the linguists and grammarians in the region. No doubt, this initiative is invaluable in terms of providing a convenience to non-Arabs and creating a conceptual language of science, especially the true understanding of the Holy Qur'an. However, along with easy and understandable concepts, many concepts that resemble each other have emerged although they have different functions in the sentence in this process and the concepts of “Worth” (Bedel) and “Declaration Attribution” (Atf-ı Beyan) stand out particularly among these concepts.
If the definition, types and distinctive features of these two concepts are not known in an integrated way, it is highly likely to be confused with each other. This will make the meaning and translation problem encountered in verbal and written expressions more difficult. In this respect, in the article, different definitions of “Worth” (Bedel) and “Declaration Attribution” (Atf-ı Beyan) definitions, from the formation process to the evolution process, together with the different definitions, description, elements and especially functional similarities and differences between them and important determinations have been made towards the true understanding of both concepts.
