Tribes are a small prototypes of state entities in terms of military, political and economic structures. In today’s tribal structure, it is seen that this organization is over and they leave their duties to the state. However, these structures, which have their own traditions and customs, continue to co-exist their entities emotionally. At the top of the tribal structure as its chief, usually there is an elder and sane person; in some tribes, different people deal with domestic and foreign affairs of the tribes. In time, the tribes are divided into small clans because of the insufficiency of the hamlets (mezras) or internal conflicts. In case of a geographical region is not seen enough for a tribe, a certain part of that tribe finds a new hamlet and emigrates to it, and it forms a new tribe there. It is known that leaving the tribe and finding a new hamlet sometimes leads to conflicts. Some small tribes do not dare to take this situation and in that case they try to sustain their lives by attaching their tribes to a powerful one. A few of the main factors that lead to inter-tribal conflicts are the following: Social and economic reasons, weakening of central power, inter-tribal competition and demonstration of power, inter-tribal conflict and blood feuds play an active role. After the inter-tribal clashes, generally a practice of forced migration and plundering culture are often seen. In this article, the conflict between tribes and the tribal raid has been examined in the case of Rishvan tribe based on an Ottoman archival document.
